Pin recipes before diving. Open the Fabricator, hover any recipe and pin it to your HUD — required materials show on-screen while you explore.
First-hour checklist. Complete these in order before attempting mid-game areas.
Required for Scanner, Flashlight, and powering the Welcome Center Biolab. Craft this before anything else — it gates multiple first-hour items.
Required to unlock almost every other blueprint. Build this second, immediately after the Basic Battery. Nothing else unlocks without it.
Required to harvest plant-based resources. Without it you cannot gather Fibrous Pulp, Lucifer Rotsac, or most organics — which means no Fiber, Rubber, or Mild Acid.
Required to build any base. Place a small base near your Lifepod before exploring far — you need it to build the Processor later.
First major dive upgrade. Significantly extends oxygen, enabling access to deeper zones that are out of reach with the default tank.
Faster swimming means more ground covered per oxygen bar. Cheap to craft and the time savings compound over every dive.
Dark zones below 100m are impassable without it. Required to access caves and deep biomes where Silver, Gold, and Lithium are found.
Fiber Mesh, Rubber, and Glass are the bottleneck materials for early progression. Stock extras before attempting mid-game equipment upgrades.

Air tanks upgrade in a chain — Standard → High Capacity → Ultra High Capacity. Don't scrap old tanks. Each upgrade consumes the previous version as an ingredient.

Build a Basic Battery first (2× Copper + 1× Acidic Raion Pouch), then immediately use it to craft the Scanner (2× Titanium + 2× Quartz + 1× Basic Battery). The Scanner unlocks almost every other blueprint in the game and is the single most important item in the first hour.
The Fabricator is available from the very start of the game inside your Lifepod. You do not need to craft or unlock it — it is your default crafting station and is accessible immediately after the opening sequence.
The Processor refines raw ores into crafting ingots (Titanium Ingot, Copper Ingot, Silver Ingot, etc.) and is the only station that can produce Strong Acid and Biofuel Blocks. It must be built inside a habitat using 2× Titanium, 1× Mild Acid, and 1× Copper Wire. Almost all mid-game and late-game crafting depends on Processor outputs.
Titanium is found in rock outcroppings near your Lifepod — it is the most common resource in the game and appears throughout all shallow biomes. You can also process Metal Salvage at the Fabricator to yield Salvaged Titanium. Rock outcroppings respawn over time.
There are four crafting stations in Early Access: the Fabricator (Lifepod, available from start), the Processor (built in a habitat, refines ores), the Habitat Builder (crafted at the Fabricator, places base modules), and the Modification Station (built in a habitat after scanning a blueprint, handles vehicle and suit upgrades).
